Effects of fragmentation and transplantation on reproduction in acropora muricata and hydnophora rigida

Reef restoration, together with reef management, has been practiced to offset the trend of reef degradation. Coral transplantation, a form of reef restoration is criticized particularly due to its potential negative effects on the donor colonies as it involves fragmentation.
