Local tide and geoid corrections significantly improve coastal retracked Jason sea surface heights in the Philippines
Retracking algorithms increase the accuracy of coastal sea surface height (SSH) measurements. However, it is still important to validate these retracking estimates with tide gauge (SSH) observations.
