   <subfield code="a">Many companies and institutions at present prefer to outsource contractual workers to supply their human resources. This is favorable to then  because they will have a minimal responsibility to the workers, and they can enjoy flexibility in their labor. Several contractual workers are at a disadvantage in this kind of work arrangement because they received inadequate salary, they are deprived of benefits, they are not allowed to join labor unions, they have no security of tenure, and they experience incivility and mistreatment. All of these result to demoralization. This study aimed to identify guidance services that can help contractual workers lessen the demoralization, address their concerns and problems at works, and enhance their ways of coping. The researchers conducted interviews in a public university that hires contractual workers for their housekeeping, security, and office work. The research is purely qualitative in nature and thematic analysis was utilized to generate themes, patterns, and codes from the participants' responses. The study showed that contractual workers experience demoralization because they are abused, underprivileged and powerless at work. They have several disheartening and pressing concerns and problems in their working conditions and job responsibilities in which demoralization is manifested. Thus, their demoralization experience affects their well-being and mental health. As a way of coping, contractual workers use adaptive or avoidance mechanism. Hence, guidance services which can help them, such as counselling, career counselling, information services and self-care activities are essential.</subfield>
