The special project documented the preservation activities done to the personal papers of Prof. Raul Rafael Ingles. Activities such as records consolidation, records selection and appraisal, records preservation and storage, and formulation of the finding aids and file plan were conducted and considered as the main tasks involved in this project. Approximately six (6) linear feet of records and paper ware arranged and classified using the file-level description of archival documents. The classified documents were placed in corrugated file boxes to increase its longevity and posterity. A finding aid and a file plan were formulated to serve as access points to the collection and to give an overview of the contents and describe the nature of the records collection. The finding aid was based on minimum required element stated in Describing Archives: A Content Standard (DACS). The file plan is a simplified version of the finding aid which presents the files in the collection according to subject. It is based on the format currently being used at the University Archives Division (UAD) of the University of the Philippines Diliman Main Library. The collection was initially proposed to be donated to the UAD; however, upon seeing the output and results, of the project, the Ingles family opted to keep the collection for the time being. It is recommended that accruals be added to the collection such as photographs, memorabilia, and other documents that my still be found in the residence of Prof. Ingles or those under the possession of the children.
