AB  - Volume I: contains the reports for the Census of Population for each of the 49 provinces, and the City of Manila. The reports which were previously published separately for each province, now have been bound together thus comprising Volume I which consists of four parts. Each provincial report contains data showing the distribution of inhabitants by municipalities and barrios, and the classification of the inhabitants in accordance with various classifications, such as sex, age, race, civil status, literacy, occupation, religion, and employment status. A summary for the entire Philippines of all data presented in Volume I, will be found in Volume II of the 1939 Census Reports, entitled "Summary for the Philippines and General Report."
