   <subfield code="a">The Sta. Rosa-Silang sub watershed is one of the largest sub-basins of Laguna de Bay. A pollution model and water quality assessment were developed in this study to estimate waste loads to surface water coming from different sources. Water samples were taken from the upstream, midstream and downstream of the Sta. Rosa River to have a water quality data representative of the whole Sta. Rosa-Silang basin. Dissolved oxygen, biochemical oxygen demand, phosphate, total coliform and pH were the primary parameters used to assess water quality. The river's water quality was compared to class C standard from DAO 2016-08 and was identified as polluted. Unit Load Approach was adapted to estimate pollution load of point and nonpoint sources; the unit load was multiplied with the number of units in a specific area. Domestic source was identified as the biggest contributor of pollution and the downstream part of the river is the most polluted. Non-point source of pollution was highest in upstream to midstream while industrial pollution was equally distributed. ArcGIS was utilized to delineate the watershed and create map for water quality analysis and pollution load estimation.</subfield>
