AB  - This study evaluated the accessibility level of compliance of selected student dormitories in UP Diliman specifically, with the purpose of determining the existing conditions of the dormitories, its level of compliance with the BP 344 and how satisfactorily did it so. Evaluative study was used as the study's research design. Both quantitative and qualitative methods were used to gather data. Convenience sampling was used to determine the three selected student dormitories with the provisions that they were low-rise dormitory buildings located in UP Diliman. Fifteen (15) respondents from each dormitory were given the survey questionnaire with the provisions that they have stayed in the dormitory for at least one semester and may or may not have had injuries. Data were taken through photo-documentation, ocular observation, survey questionnaires and open-minded interview with the key informant. The accessibility features observed were the entrances, ramps, doors, corridors, washroom and toilets, stairs and elevators. Two months were spent conducting the study and two weeks of gathering data in April. The findings of the study from the observations and responses revealed that Dormitory 3 was the most compliant with 5/7 accessibility feature compliance. However, overall, all of the dormitories had non-satisfactory level of compliance to the BP 344 standard requirements due to partial compliance only. The researcher recommends further studies on dormitory accessibility in the university as well as outside the university to find patterns on the similarities and differences in the application of BP 344 in the interior spaces. The researcher also suggests to study the provisions for people with hearing and visual disabilities in the dormitory by including way finding assessment and sound incorporation in the space.
