The weaving community at the Mabilong Weaver‟s Village in Lubuagan, Kalinga, however, has reached the verge of termination (Lopez, 2007). There is a need to to look into what is happening in their textile industry to explain why this has occuurred and to look into possible solutions to their situation. The main objective of the study is to analyze the situation of the weaving community, documenting the set-up, resources and the production process. A Strengths-Weaknesses-Opportunities-Threats Analysis was done to evaluate and give recommendations to improve their situation. The data was obtained by doing on-site research through interviewing the people involved in the industry and observing the community. The researcher found out that the community of Mabilong is highly dependent on weaving for providing their basic needs. Unfortunately, a number of problems such as a lack of leadership, organization, marketing strategies, funding, and training curtails the improvement and profitability of their textile industry. It is recommended that the community unite themselves into a forming cooperative to help regulate operations and pricing, increase market, eliminate the need for middle men, and allow development through training seminars.
