Specifically, it identified the purpose and significance of the dance in the Yakan culture, described the dance in terms of its distinguishing movement qualities and style, illustrated and described the implements, costume, accessories and musical instruments used in the dance, as well as, notated the basic musical rhythm and steps used for instructional purposes. In addition, a video documentation of the Tumahik dance supplements this study. Interview with Yakan natives was conducted to gather data neede for this study. In conclusion, the study showed an anthropological perspective on the beliefs and practices of the Yakans. In the suggested combination of arm movement and steps, the choice of sequence of steps for instructional purposes was made according to a storyline. Wherein , the performer looks for his opponent, invites him for a fight, teases him, prepares for an attack and finally, kills him after which he exits the stage. NO - Title from the container.
