This bibliographic survey aims to compile and annotate materials on the Igorots from the Spanish regime to 1975 to help students in their research on the people of the Cordillera, namely - the Bontocs, the Ibaloys, the Ifugaos, the Isnegs, the Kalingas and the Kankanays. Divided into two (2) parts, part one discusses briefly each of the above mentioned six ethnolinguistic groups that inhabit the Cordillera and surveys that aspects of Igorot life that have been written on pointing out some areas that need further study. Part two, which makes up the bulk of the study includes six hundred seventy nine (679) entries of books, monographs, periodical articles, theses and other manuscripts, and three hundred forty (340) laws and regulations (public laws, republic acts, executive orders, proclamations) found in five (5) libraries and three (3) archives in the Greater Manila Area. While it updates and supplements two (2) other bibliographies on the Cordillera - that of Conklin's Ifugao Bibliography and Scott's Cordillera Bibliography - this survey is limited to materials found in Philippine libraries mostly in Manila. The entries are arranged alphabetically by author and chronologically for authors with more than one work included in the listing.
