TY - THES T1 - Z-wire wireless ZDS II using COTS transceiver modules A1 - Bulaong, Jonathan P. LA - English YR - 2007 UL - https://tuklas.up.edu.ph/Record/UP-99796217608094497 AB - This project aims to effectively establish a wireless program download from the computer to a slave microcontroller using Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) Transceiver Modules. The system will reduce RS232 serial cable limitations as well as wirelessly configure a microcontroller. The COTS modules are low power, low cost transceivers that are ideal for industrial Scientific and Medical (ISM) applications. The programmer will use Zilog Development Studio II (ZDS II) to develop and simulate his program on the computer and generate the necessary machine code for the microcontroller operations. A Graphical User Interface (GUI) software, running in windows, will process the corresponding firmware and will then establish a wireless transfer of data to another COTS transceiver interfaced to a slave microcontroller. Finally, the receiving COTS module will process the data and will translate it in order to program the slave microcontroller connected to it through I/0 pins.
