This encyclopedia is actually divided into three parts, namely: Part I refers to the introductory division which contains the pertinent explanations regarding the various objectives for the preparation of an encyclopedia dedicated solely to herbal technology, a "first" in Philippine herbology. Part II refers to the compilation of excerpts from the latest herbal manuals published 1994-1995 which is known as the Philippine Herbal Medicine with a Version in Filipino which is illustrated with specific sketches of the various indigenous Philippine plants described therein. Part III refers to a very comprehensive herbal medicine research on the medicinal principles involved in the use specific herbal plants, their scientific terminologies with their corresponding sketches to properly illustrated and identify them.
