AB  - The pupose of this study was to produce a culture-fair mental ability test in Pilipino by developing the Diliman Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS). The Diliman WAIS evolved from two phases. The first phase looked into the comparative performances of 160 students on the original WAIS and on a Filipino version. The second phase determined the validity and reliability of the Diliman WAIS by administering it to 100 students. Further refinement of the test through the addition of experimental items to improve the distribution of items relative to discrimination and          facility indices was recommended.
