AB  - This study analyzed the dialect geography of six Hiligaynon speaking communities in the     province of Capiz namely Roxas City, Panay, Pilar, Dumalag, Mambusao, and Sapi-an. A master list of 100 English words was used as control. The study revealed that there are more content words than function and subsitute words because of the difficulty in eliciting the right responses from        informants without suggesting or hinting the words from the investigator's vocabulary.
