   <subfield code="a">This paper deals with the formulation and computer implementation of some models for seashore waves. The research is two-phase. First it is aimed at the formulation of a more or less simplistic wind-driven or gravity-driven mathematical model for seashore waves, with characteristics dependent of a computerized simulator which will implement the formulated model. Specifically, the research has the following objectives: (i) the prediction of the movement of sea waves near seashores; (ii) to pinpoint the areas of high energy concentration, and; (iii) to provide numerical wave properties, such as average wave height, amplitude, etc, per unit time, for the areas involved. The formulas derived for the model assume that the fluid is inviscid, there is no capillarity, there is no surface tension, fluid is irrotational and that the fluid is incompressible. The wind is also assumed to be undirectional, position independent and constant. Computation is done in two dimensions only, but presentation will involve a graphical representation of the seashore area to be simulated in the form of a two-dimensional vertical flow grid map. The equations however, were further simplified for feasibility of solution and computation.</subfield>
