Root nodules of two legume plants were tried as sources of nitrogen nutrition for pechay plants.  Plants treated with 16.25g, 12.5g, and 8.75g of ground peanut root nodules steeped in 2.5L of distilled water increased leaf area with a significantly over the control.  Pechay treated with 16.25 g, 12.5g and 8.75g of Mongo root nodules gave a higher increase in leaf area compared to plants treated with peanut root nodules over control.</subfield>
