<subfield code="a">The general problem of this study is to estimate the consumption of bottled water of the residential sector using different consumption equations. It aims to determine the significant economic and non-economic factors that affect bottled water consumption in Iloilo City, as well as the percentage of household willing to change consumption given changes in the factors affecting consumption like price., The variables included in the study were household size, adjusted weekly income, educational attainment of household head, price of bottled water per gallon, distance of house to other potable water sources, amount spent on family members with special need for safe water (babies or chronically ill members), and method of purchase. These variables were tested to establish whether they have corresponding effects on the amount of bottled water consumed weekly. The 120 responents from the eight selected barangays, who were obtained through a random sampling technique, were subjected to answer a prepared questionnaire. The consumption function of bottled water in Iloilo City Proper area is QCH20= 5.110628 + 0.1719049X(1) + 0.000499X{FD} + 0.192259X(3) - 0.454915X(4) - 1.050764X(5) - 0.001283X(6) + 3.504897X(7). F-test and T-tests are conducted to determine if the variations in the regressors account to the variation observed in the regress and and establishes which of the regressors included in the model significantly affect its behavior. No other equations were formulated apart from linear form because the other functions (reciprocal, exponential and log) could not be regresses aggregately. The coefficient determination or R{FD} of 0.56 says that 56 of the variation in gallons consumed per week of bottled water is explained by the independent variables. The significant economic and non-economic factors that have been found out to affect the gallons of bottled water consumed in a week were household size, weekly income, and the method of purchase at 1 level of significance. No positive serial correlation was seen in the variables as a Durbin-Watson stat of 2.05 was obtained. (NOTE: CORRECTION (1) - ((7), R2)</subfield>
