Research Project (Undergraduate, Bachelor of Arts in Sociology) College of Arts and Sciences, UP Visayas, Miagao, Iloilo This is a descriptive study that seeks to identify the motivation of the fourth year students of Biological Science and Social Science Divisions in the UPV college of Arts and Sciences in pursuing their degree program. this study also describes the socio-economic status of the students, their study habits, and academic performance. In addition, it explores the association between the students' motivations and their socioeconomic characteristics, study habit and academic performance. A total of 60 students were taken as respondents, 30 from the Division of Biological Sciences and 30 from the Division of socail Sciences. Survey interviews were conducted. The researchers used a bivariate approach in analyzing the results of the study. Findings show that although the association between student's motivation and STS are statistically insignificant, students' motivation vary by their socioeconomic status, reflecting how they make decisions and priorities. Furthermore, students' GWA greatly varies by their socioeconomic characteristics and motivation but not by their sex, choice of course, degree program and study schedule. Students Study habit.
