N., Aquaspirillum sp., Pseudomonas sp., and Streptoccocus sp. Were screened for virulence, production of siderophore at 20, 25, 30 and 370C, and production of etracellular products (ECP).Results showed that all A. hydrophila isolates and A. pastoria sp. n. were virulent to test catfish (Clariasbarrachus). Pseudomonas sp., Streptococcus sp. and Aquaspirillum sp. were avirulent. Fifty percent of A. hydrophila isolates were positive for siderophore production at 250C. Aeromonaspastoria sp. n., Aquaspirillumsp, and Pseudomonas sp. also showed positive response whereas Streptococcus sp. showed negative response. An increase in the amount of siderophore produced and the percentage of siderophore-producing A. hydrophila was observed at 200C. The same trend was observed for A. Pastoria sp. n. In contrast, Aquaspirillumsp, pseudomonas sp., and Streptococcus sp. showed an increase in siderophore production at temperature 30 and 370C. On ECP production, only 43.75% of the A. hydrophila test isolates produced ECP that induced dermonecroticlessions on test catfish. Aeromonaspastoriasp.n.aslo produced ECP whereas Aquaspirillumsp, Pseudomonas sp., and Streptococcus sp. were negative for ECP production.
