During the Philippine National election 2022, political information, real news, fake news, and disinformation had become highly accessible on social media. Social media users become highly susceptible to fake news and disinformation, challenging the media information literacy of the people, especially registered voters. Thus, this study aimed to assess the media information literacy of the registered voters in Cebu City and to find out if there is a significant difference between their media information literacy and their levels of educational attainment. The researchers conducted a survey among registered voters in Cebu City to assess their media information literacy through a pre-qualifying questionnaire and a Media Information Literacy Assessment Test which is a series of standardized election-related questions. The results of this study found through the statistical treatment, One-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), that one?s educational attainment has a significant difference to one?s media information literacy which goes to show that the respondents? educational attainment is directly proportional to their media information literacy, except for the notable result where the level of media information literacy of the Senior High School Graduates is higher than the College Graduates.
