   <subfield code="a">Pinili ang paksang K-Pop para sa pag-aaral ng tesis dahil sa napapabilang ito sa hindi mapigilang phenomena. Kinababaliwan at kinaadikan ng mga tao lalo na ang mga kabataan.  May kakaibang tunog ang naipapahayag nito para sa mga tagapakinig kaya naman kahit isang beses pa lamang mapakinggan, paulit-ulit na itong tutugtog sa iyong utak na parang nasirang plaka. Ngunit ang paksan K-Pop ay hindi lamang naka-pokus  sa iisang genre lamang. Kung dati, kapag sinabi mong K-Pop, musika na kaagad ang unang maiisip ngunit dahil sa kasikatan ng kulturang ito, napapabilang na rin maging ang kanilang fashion, food, culture, Koreanovela, language, universities, cars, technology at maging ang kanilang bansa bilang tourist spot. Dahil sa kasikatan nito, unti unti naring tumataas ang kanilang turismo at maging ang kanilang ekonomiya, ngunit ang pinagtataka lang ay ang napakaraming populasyon ng mga Koryano  dito sa ating bansa. Ang napiling genre ay ang pagsulat ng nobeleta. Ang pagsusulat ng paglalakbay ni Gelie Kim bilang isang K-Pop fan ay magpapatunay kung paano siya naging biktima ng panibagong kultura. Unti-unting nababago maging ang kanyang identidad dahil sa walang tigil niyang pagsubaybay na pati ang kanyang pisikal na anyo ay nagbabago na rin. Sa nobeletang ito, matutunghayan natin kung paano magbabago si Kimberly Evangelista papuntang Gelie Kim at kung paano niya tatalikuran ang pagiging Pilipino dahil sa panibagong kulturang kanyang nadiskubre. Unti-unti magbabago ang kanyang pananalita at dito na rin magbabago ang pagtingin sa kanyang sarili. Ngunit dahil sa paulit-ulit at natupad na ang kanyang pinapangarap na mapanood ang iniidolo niyang BIGBANG, dito nya muling nakita ang kahalagahan ng adobo at ito na ang nag-udyok sa kanya na bumalik muli sa tunay niyang identidad.</subfield>
