   <subfield code="a">Ang pag-aaral na ito ay nakapokus sa kung ano ang magiging epekto ng public utility vehicle modernization program ng gobyerno sa mga jeepney drayber at opereytor. Simula nang umupo ang administrasyong Duterte sa pwesto, iba't ibang programa ang nais nitong ipatupad para sa modernisasyon ng bansa. Isa na nga rito ang panukalang Public Utility Vehicles Modernization Program (PUVMP). Ang programang ito ay nagtataguyod na alisin ang humigit kumulang 250,000 na mga dyip sa kalsada lalo na ang mga sasakyang may halos labinlimang taon na ang tanda, para bigyang daan ang mga panukalang bagong sasakyan. Ang gobyerno ay mas pinagtutuunan ng pansin ang negosyo sa program kaysa sa serbisyo sa mamamayan. Sa dokumentaryong nilikha, tinalakay rito ang pahayag ng mga direktang apektado sa nasabing programa, ang mga jeepney driver at opereytor. Taong 2018, umusbong ang panawagang &quot;No to jeepney phase out&quot; ng mga iba't ibang grupo ng tsuper tulad na lamang ng PISTON o Pinagkaisang Samahan ng mga Tsuper at Operator Nationwide). Pangunahing pinagtuunan sa mailing dokumentaryong ito ang mga tsuper sa Unibersidad ng Pilipinas Diliman na kasama rin sa posibleng maalis. Nilapatan ang pag-aaral ng iba't ibang teorya tulad ng Modernisation at Neoliberalism. Ang modernization theory ang syang magbibigay linaw kung bakit kailangan umabante ng tao sa teknolohiya at magmodernisa sa isang bansa. Samantalang ang Neoliberalism naman ang pagpapaliwanag kung bakit atrasado at hirap ang bansa na magmodernisa kahit ito ay may sapat na yaman o resources. Malaki ang gampanin ng mga teoryang ito upang malaman ang pinag-uugatan ng panukalang &quot;modernisasyon&quot; ng gobyernong Duterte. Gayundin, upang malantad ang tunay na dahilan at epekto ng jeepney phaseout, serbisyo nga ba o negosyo?, modernisasyon nga ba o konsumisyon?.</subfield>
