   <subfield code="a">Mayaman ang Pilipinas sa mga di-tekstwal na batis katulad ng kultural na performans na magagamit sa pagsilip ng kasaysayan, kalinangan at kaugnayan ng mga pamayanan. Hangarin ng kasalukuyang pag-aaral na basahin bilang teksto ang diyandi ng Dakbayan sa Iligan gamit ang historikal na pag-unawa na kahulugan-katuturan-kabuluhan at kagamitan na binalangkas ni Dr. Villan. Ginabayan ng mga pagdadalumat nina Roach (1996), Taylor (2006), Schneider (2001) at Tiatco (2020) ay pinagtambal ang performans at kasaysayan tungo sa pagpapaliwanag ng mga sumusunod na suliranin: l. Anu-ano ang iba't ibang pagpapakahulugan sa diyandi sa Mindanao at papaano ito isinasagawa sa Iligan? 2. Papaano binubuhay at mailalarawan ng kakanyahan ng diyandi ang kalinangan, kasaysayan at kaugnayan ng tatluhang pamayanan sa lligan? 3. Bakit mahalaga ang pag-iingat sa diyandi at makabuluhang kasangkapan sa pagtataguyod ng kapayapaan sa Iligan?&#13;

Gamit ang etnohistorikal at etnograpikal na mga lapit ay naging pangunahing katuklasan ng pag-aaral ang pagtatagpo ng mga konseptong pangako at kasunduan sa diyandi. Naging buod ang mga ito sa kakanyahan ng diyandi na panaad na bumubuhay sa ritwal bilang kabilin, at sa nakasilid nitong kasaysayan na ang itinatampok ay conflict, courtship at conciliation. Ang makahulugan, makatuturan at makabuluhang mensaheng inihahatid ng diyandi ang nagpadakila rito bilang ngalan ng kapistahan sa Iligan at gamiting kasangkapan sa pagpapanatili ng kapayapaan at kaisahan ng tatluhang pamayanan. Inaasahang ang pag-aaral ay makapag-aambag sa pagpapanukala sa diyandi bilang kabilin ng Iligan at sa pagtuturo ng mga siwang para sa pagpapayabong pa ng kaalaman katulad ng pag-unawa sa diyandi batay sa pananaw ng tatluhang pamayanan.&#13;
