   <subfield code="a">Online shopping is continuously becoming more prevalent since the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic, wherein one of the products bought by shoppers the most is furniture. However, there is a recurring issue in online shopping where products received by online shoppers do not meet their expectations hence, there is a need to investigate whether furniture sold online matches the expectations of buyers, especially millennials, who are predicted to influence the furniture industry in the next few years. This qualitative research examined the visual attributes of furniture sold online that attract the study’s participants to buy, the visual attributes of the actual furniture purchased that met or failed to meet their expectations, and ways in which furniture sold on e-commerce platforms will match buyers’ expectations. A descriptive research design was employed in the study. Ten millennials who have already bought furniture at least thrice and are living in the Philippines were recruited through purposive and snowball sampling and were interviewed individually via Zoom Meetings using an interview schedule. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis. Findings show that the visual attributes that attract participants to buy furniture online are: space-saving (in terms of form and measurements), neutral and simple color schemes, wood and steel materials, and simple styles. Of the visual attributes that met the participants’ expectations, color was mentioned the most while material accounts for most of the unmet expectations. Results show that the participants were generally satisfied with the furniture they purchased from online shopping platforms. However, they still encountered common problems that resulted in unmet expectations such as discrepancy in measurements, mismatch of colors, poor quality of materials, and other problems like missing form/shape details and difficulty in visualizing actual furniture size. Participants think that there are various ways in which expectations can still be met, specifically through online sellers, online shoppers, and furniture manufacturers.</subfield>
