This program is implemented for it is considered to be the best learning period under basic education. Given that the first batch of senior high school students will graduate this year, the study determined the decisions of technical-vocational livelihood (TVL) students whether to enter the workforce or further their education. A total of 131 senior high school students and 10 firms in Tacloban City participated in the study. The representative firms were limited to representative firms from different industries based on TVL strand and top five schools with the most number of TVL graduating students that is located in Tacloban City only. Binary Logistics regression was utilized to determine the significant factors affecting the decisions of the students. Researchers found out that students depend their decision of joining the labor force on socio-demographic factors, working conditions and other important factors. Firms, on the other hand, takes into account the socio-demographic profile of potential labor entrants, behavioral conditions, and economic factors.
