Filipino farmers mainly rely on the outcome of rice harvested per season since it is not only for profit making. Rice is also used for consumption by the farmers. In this regard, the study sought to identify the post-harvest problems encountered by the rice farmers in Brgy. San Agustin, Palo, eyte. The post-harvest problems have been identified using primary data collection from [80] randomly choseen rice farmers through an interview schedule. AB - Various post-harvest problems such as bad weather, lack of spaces and storage rooms, pests, transportation costs and the low price of rice were identified. Correspondingly, numerous coping mechanisms were done by rice farmers such as renting threshers, drying on the road, house stocking and direct selling to milling factories. While some farmers have no coping methods with the problems due to uncontrollable factors. Most of the respondents received no help from the government and NGOs concerning post-harvest processes. With the results recognized, recommendations in improving policy factors by the government and NGOs such as forming information-based discussions like climate change seminars and providing tools and equipment for rice farming have been highlighted.
