   <subfield code="a">This is a correlational study between the level of trust of the local officials and voters on the 2010 poll automation of the Municipality of Palo. The objectives of the study include 1.) to determine the socioeconomic and demographic profile of local government officials and the registered voters, 2.) to determine the level of trust government officials and registered voters on the 2010 poll automation based on election indicators, 3.) to find out the relationship between SED factors and the level of trust on the 2010 poll automated election and, 4.) to identify significant difference on the level of trust between the local municipal officials and the voters.</subfield>

   <subfield code="a">The study utilized a self-administered questionnaire as major instrument for the data collection. In order to analye the data, statistical mean was used to come up with the over-all trust levels of the respondents. R-pearson moment correlation coefficient and point biserial were used to determine correlations between SED and level of trust of the respondents.</subfield>

   <subfield code="a">The findings were: 1.) age has significant relationship with the level of trust of the respondents on poll automation, 2.) sex, work and educational attainment have no significant relationship with the level of trust of officials and the voters on the 2010 poll automation, 4.) over-all the officials and voters have high level of trust on the 2010 poll automation. With the findings, the following recommendations for future study are hereby forwarded: 1.) An explanatory can be done in order to clarify on how and why some indicators like machineries influenced the trust on poll automation of an individual. 2.) A comparative study can be conducted to compare first-class municipalities like Palo vis-a-vis lower class municipalities. 3.) A comparative study can be done between the level of trust on the May 2010 poll automation and the next poll automation after that. 4.) A study can be done whether automated elections should be carried out subsequent to the May 2010 elections. 5.) Future researchers can consider the environmental factors of the voting population of a particular barangay so as to why they have to trust poll automation. 6.) A study can be done to determine inherent and intrinsic characteristics of poll automation if its applicability in the next elections will be impressive. 7.) An explanatory research can be conducted to determine the voting behavior of the voters with respect to their level of trust on poll automation.</subfield>
