Phycological observations - XXII Spathoglossum pacificum Yendo, a new record of Phaeophycean from the Philippines [Short communication]

A rare and noteworthy brown macro-benthic alga Spathoglossuin pacificum Yendo is reported as a new record for the Philippines. The taxonomic and morphological descriptions are based on mature and fertile specimens collected in March 1984 from Ilocos Norte, Northern Philippines.
