<subfield code="a">A whole plethora of scholarly work from the American period onwards discusses the whole range of history of the Cordillera. However, the historiography of the Cordillera is lacking - particularly with regards to the use of non-conventional frameworks (especially in the Humanities and the Social Sciences) in presentation and analysis of data, and also with regards to sifting through the work of Cordillera historians, especially those who are not well known. This research utilized the selected works of Carlos R. Medina, particularly his books Missionaries and Development and Stories, 1907-1970(both of which deal with the history of the CICM in the Cordillera), published by the now - Defunct Saint Louis University Cordillera Research and Development Foundation, Inc. (SLU-CRDF). The research utilized, as its frameworks of analysis, Winona Stevenson's Postcolonial critique of Missionary Documents and Arnold Krupat's Monologue and Dialogue in Native American (Auto)biography, showing Medina's work as that reflecting the colonialist nature of its missionary sources. The research recommends, in general, the use of non-conventional frameworks to analyzed Cordilleran historiography -- Author's abstract.</subfield>
