Introduction: The UP Manila Creche and Child Development Center was established for the children of UP Manila and PGH employees. The children‟s parents, as primary caregivers, play an important role in the oral health of their children. Because of this, the researchers determined the current knowledge, attitudes, and practices of the parents toward the oral health of their children that may have contributed to their children‟s current oral health status. Methods: A descriptive correlational study design was used in this study to examine the association between oral health knowledge, attitudes, and practices of parents and the oral health status of their children. The target population for this study are the parents and their children currently enrolled in UP Manila Creche and Child Development Center, A.Y. 2016-2017. There were approximately 50 parent-child pairs but only 23 (46%) participated in the study. Notably, the population is relatively small. The researchers have deemed it appropriate to use the non-probability, purposive sampling design and the population was relatively small, therefore total enumeration was done. Results: Out of the target 50 parent-child pairs at the UP Manila Creche and Child Development Center, only 23 participated in the study and 12 (52.2%) of whom had a dmft of three or higher and thus were classified to have a ?high‟ dmft score. The remaining 11 (47.8%) children were classified to have a ?low‟ dmft score. From the 23 children in the study, 19 (82.61%) had WSL, and were considered to have a high risk of developing dental caries. The remaining four children 3 (17.39%) did not have any WSL and as such have a low risk. For the parents who answered the questionnaire, most of them had high or optimal knowledge (median cutoff = 35), attitudes (median cutoff = 40) and practices (median cutoff = 18) scores. There are no statistically significant (p>0.05) differences in the proportion of children with high dmft and high risk of dental caries, and between parents in the respective knowledge , attitudes and practices groups. Conclusion: There is no association between oral health knowledge, attitudes and practices of parents, with the dmft score and the risk of dental caries of their children.
