<subfield code="a">This study is a technology foresight on the future prospects of having a Software Quality Assurance unit in Philippine Government Offices with software development activities. This study presented and discussed the plausible scenarios. The software quality assurance unit has a main function which is to audit software development processes, implementation and the software output. Ensuring the software product has the best quality it could possibly have. And this study will also produce scenarios based on the different scenario available in the market on the technical topic of software quality, technology foresight, and data analysis.

Development of software applications and software systems for the benefit and improvement of a certain government office in the Philippines is now gaining more and more attractiveness and attention to the public. Many will hear about automation, online processing of applications, online payment, etc. These automated processes are necessary for moving towards an effective and efficient service in each sector of the government. Their automated services are gaining importance in the Filipino people and the public interest should always be met because these government transactions are sources of data and monitoring of different levels. The automated systems and use of information and communication technology (ICT) are becoming the capabilities of different government offices. The assurance that the development and implementation from the start are well analyzed, evaluated and above all ensuring its quality.

The issue that needed a clear view of scenarios after this project report is the issue facing the government on the automated systems that are acquired, customized or built from scratch have defects and issues.
