Effects of aging on the immune parameters in brown Norway rats when fed undigested fraction of soybean protein. 2003 This study was conducted to investigate the effect of the undigested fraction of soybean (UDF on the immune system of young and adult Brown Norway rats. Eighteen 4-week and 32-week old male Brown Norway rats were housed individually in stainless cages in a room with controlled temperature (20-23°C) and lights on from 0800 to 2000 hr. after acclimatization for 5 days, the rats were divided into 3 groups with 6 rats per group. Feeding trial was conducted for 22 days. Experimental diets were prepared and there were 3 sources of protein: debittered UPF, Casein, and Soybean.
